We have some special attractions for you. Some of them may have been mentioned elsewhere on this site, however, we want to make sure to point them out to you.

Raffle of Richard Meixner's Structure Model

Richard, who builds structure models professionally, has generously donated a structure model to the O Scale Kings. The convention will raffle the model and turn the proceeds over to the O Scale Kings. Richard sells via eBay. You can see his auctions if you search for items under the seller ID of "ramtext" (without the quotes). The structure can be viewed and raffle tickets purchased at the Company Store; complimentary DVDs showing Richard's products can be obtained by request at the Company Store.

Click here to view 5 color photos of the structure that will be raffled. Here's is one of them.

Burfitt Tools

Murray Burfitt will be here from Australia with his line of tools. He expects to be in the hotel before the convention starts, so if you want to see and possibly buy some of his tools prior to the start of the convention, when he will have a table in the exhibit hall, contact him on a house phone and make an appointment to visit him in his room. Here is a link to his web site.

Sunset/3rd Rail Open House

Sunset/3rd Rail will be having an open house and sale. Please check their web site for more information.

Rod Miller Shop Tour

Rod will be conducting a tour of his custom drive fabrication and model building shop Tuesday afternoon June 29. Rod will describe how the shop is used for custom drive fabrication and model building; questions from the group are encouraged. Since space inside the shop is limited, you need to sign up in advance. The tour will take one hour which may be extended depending on sign-ups and interest. To sign up call Rod at the 0424 number given on the Contact Us page.

California Roadbed (Homabed) Open For Visiting

California Roadbed, makers of the Homasote-based roadbed that is also called Homabed, will receive visitors before and after the convention at their Cottonwood, CA facility which is about 240 miles (4 hours) north of the San Francisco Bay Area, just off I-5. Contact information and hours are on a secure web page; to view information on how to access the secure web page, click here, and then in the Map of This Page section at the top, click on the link to Grand Tour Layout and Schedule Information.

Let us know if the OSKers loco does not appear here.
